The 5th grade Hatchet Boys basketball team improved to 4-1 on the year with a win over Vincennes Clark 6th grade B team 30 to 9 last night. Dylan Stowers led the way with 15 points, The Hatchets boys 5th grade will play at Barr-Reeve on Monday night.

Indiana blew a 22-point lead and lost at Wisconsin 64-59. The Hoosiers did not score over the final three minutes of the game, and were outscored 16-2 over the final five minutes and fifty seconds. The 22nd-ranked Badgers outscored IU 39-17 in the second half and held Indiana to 23 percent shooting over the final 20 minutes. Johnny Davis led all scorers with 23 points, including a contested go-ahead 3-pointer with 1:18 to play. Trayce Jackson-Davis scored a season-low nine points for the Hoosiers. Indiana fell to 7-2, and has not won in Madison since 1998. The Badgers are 8-1 and have won six in a row. The Hoosiers are back in action Sunday at home against Merrimack.
The top-ranked Purdue Boilermakers play their first game as number one tonight at Rutgers. The Boilers are 8-0 and are winning by an average of over 25 points per game. After winning 10 straight games in the series, Purdue has lost three in a row to the Scarlet Knights. It is Purdue’s first-ever game as the top-ranked team, and it’s the first true road game of the season. Rutgers is 4-4 and coming off a 35-point loss at Illinois. The Boilers are favored by 12, with tip off at 7 p.m. Eastern on BTN.
