Agnes Janet ‘Jan Jan’ (Redmond) Wittmer, 85, of Odon, Indiana, passed away with loved ones at her side, on Wednesday, December 8, 2021 at Prairie Village Nursing Center in Washington. She was born on February 25, 1936 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Samuel & Gertrude (McNaulghty) Redmond. Agnes married the love of her life, Amos Wittmer on July 4, 1956.
Agnes was a homemaker and loved spending time with her family. She was a member of the First Christian Church and Eagles Lodge.
Family left to cherish the memory of Agnes include: three sons, Tom (Chris) Wittmer of Odon, Terry (Susan) Wittmer of Loogootee and Kevin Wittmer of Springfield, VA; two daughters, Lisa (Dick) Gray of Washington and Sherri Lengacher of Columbus, Ohio; eleven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren and sister, Zelda Snyder of Indianapolis.
Agnes was preceded in death by: her parents; husband, Amos Wittmer; sons, Jeffery Scott Wittmer and Kerry V. Wittmer; sister, Elizabeth Hadler; brothers, Richard, Rod, Isaac, Sam and Raymond Redmond.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM on Saturday, December 11, 2021 at Meng Family Funeral Home in Odon with Micah Stephens officiating. Agnes will be laid to rest in Walnut Hill Cemetery in Odon.
Family and friends may call from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at 2:00 PM on Saturday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer Association. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
