The Washington Police Department is now accepting applications.
The department says they are searching for highly motivated individuals looking to make a difference in the local community.
They are taking applications for a Police Officer with a starting rate of $22.83/Hr.
Applicants must have a minimum of a high school diploma, or equivalent, and complete all aspects of the hiring process and training program.
Candidates must be at least 21 years of age to apply.
Applications will be accepted at the Mayor’s Office located at 200 Harned Avenue from 8:30 am – 4:30 pm Monday through Friday, or anytime at the Washington Police Department at 101 North East 3rd Street.
Applicants can also fill out applications by going to the City of Washington’s new website at www.washingtonin.us.
The City of Washington is a Drug-Free Workplace, and successful applicants must pass a drug test prior to beginning their duties.
The department says applications will be accepted now through January 17th.
