The Indianapolis Colts celebrated Christmas with a victory despite missing several key players. On Saturday the team announced Darius Leonard and Khari Willis were added to the COVID list along with Quenton Nelson. The Colts were down three offensive line starters heading into the game, before losing Jack Doyle and Eric Fisher after the first half. Indianapolis returns to Lucas Oil Stadium for perhaps the final time Sunday when the Raiders head to the circle city.
The Indiana Pacers trip to Chicago ended in a loss for the blue and gold 113-105. Every starter for the Pacers scored in double figures while the bench could only muster nineteen total points. Indiana trailed a majority of the game, giving up sixty points in the first half. They only outscored Chicago in the third quarter. The Pacers return home on Wednesday when the Charlotte Hornets come to the circle city.
The Ball State Cardinals defensive struggles proved costly as they fell to the Georgia State Panthers 51-20 in the Camellia Bowl on Christmas Day. Mike Neu’s Cardinals scored an early lead but struggled to stop the Panthers from going up 20-13 at halftime. Ball State finished the 2021-22 season with a losing record.
