The Hatchet homecoming game with Pike Central tomorrow has been postponed. A new date for the game will be set for later. Homecoming is now set for next weekend at the Hatchet House on Saturday night.

Girls basketball yesterday, Barr Reeve picked up their biggest win of the season over South Knox 47-42.
North Daviess beat Washington Catholic 70-19.
Castle defeated Vincennes Lincoln 66-57.
Reitz over Jasper 58-44.
Gibson Southern topped Southridge 57-37.

Perry Central got by Shoals 60-51.The WJHS boys 7th grade basketball team improved to 12-4 on the season with a 44-23 win at Bloomfield Thursday night. Aiden Boyd led all scores with 18 points followed by Levi Burkemper with 9, Brody Armes 8, Jack Brower 6 and Caleb Bouchie 3. The 7th grade boys will play again Saturday in the Sullivan Shootout.
The 8th grade boys (13-2) dropped only their 2nd game of the season at Bloomfield Thursday 51-31. Cordell Turner had 13 points to led the Hatchets. Brody Isza added 8, Brody Clarke 6, and 2 each from Cooper Wright and Ben Merold. The 8th grade boys next play Monday night at home in the opening round of the PAC tournament.
The Washington 8th Grade Lady Hatchets (13-2) basketball team hosted Vincennes Clark in the Hatchet House on Thursday night. The 8th Graders got off to a slow start on a cold night and found but turned up the heat late for their 13th win of the season 45-32. The 8th Grade Lady Hatchets open Conference play Monday night at home in the Hatchet House. Game starts at 6:00pm.
For the first time since February of 2016, the Indiana Hoosiers have defeated the Purdue Boilermakers on the basketball court. In a 68-65 victory at Assembly Hall, the Hoosiers knocked off the number-four Boilermakers and clinched the win when Rob Phinisee hit a massive three with just seconds left on the clock in the second half. Phinisee finished with with 20 points in 26 minutes played, and went four-of-seven from beyond the arc. Indiana was forced to step up as well from a bench perspective, as Trayce Jackson-Davis ran into foul trouble and played just 11 minutes. Jackson-Davis ended up having four points. On the Purdue side, Jaden Ivey missed a last second contested three that could have tied the game. Ivey poured in 21 points. The Big Ten grind continues for both squads, as the Hoosiers will now focus their attention on the Michigan Wolverines Sunday at 3:30 PM, while Purdue will host Northwestern Sunday at 1:00 PM. Purdue sits at 15-3, while the Hoosiers are now 14-4.
In what has been one of the biggest turnarounds on a two-game basis in the NBA, the Indiana Pacers found a way to beat the Golden State Warriors in overtime by a final of 121-117. Indiana was without nearly every in the game, including Malcolm Brogdon, Myles Turner, Domantas Sabonis, and Caris LeVert. Golden State started the overtime period on a 5-0 run, but Indiana responded to outscore Steph Curry and company. The Blue and Gold will now get a day off before they head to the desert on Saturday night at 9:00 PM to battle the Phoenix Suns.
