Indiana returns to action Saturday afternoon against 18th-ranked Illinois. The Hoosiers have been off since last Saturday’s win at Maryland, while the Fighting Illini are coming off a Wednesday night home win over 11th-ranked Wisconsin. The matchup to watch will be Hoosiers forward Trayce Jackson-Davis against Illinois center Kofi Cockburn (CO-burn). Jackson-Davis is averaging 18.3 points and 8.5 rebounds, while Cockburn averages 22.1 points and 11.6 rebounds, and is coming off a 37-point performance against the Badgers. Both teams are 16-5, although the Fighting Illini hold a two-game lead in the Big Ten standings. Tip off Saturday at noon at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall.

The fourth-ranked Purdue Boilermakers face Michigan Saturday afternoon at 2:30 pm Eastern at Mackey Arena. Purdue has won four in a row after a 15-point win at Minnesota Wednesday. The Boilers won’t have much time to get acclimated at home. Purdue is scheduled to arrive back in West Lafayette sometime Friday. The team flew from Minneapolis to Indianapolis Thursday, but stayed in Indianapolis due to adverse road conditions. The Boilers and Wolverines will face each other twice over a six-day stretch because of a rescheduled game next Thursday. Purdue is 19-3, while Michigan is 11-8, but has won four out of five. Butler hosts St. John’s Saturday at noon at Hinkle Fieldhouse, and Notre Dame faces North Carolina State on the road Saturday afternoon at 3:00 pm.
