The Annual Daviess County Jail Report indicated bookings were up over the last year.
Daviess County Sheriff Gary Allison noted in a recent report to the Daviess County Commissioners that bookings were up by about 130 in 2021 over 2020.
He noted these numbers are more in line with pre COVID numbers.
There was a total of 1,182 bookings last year with over 300 arrest warrants served.
The average daily jail population was around 127.
There were no fatalities or escapes in 2021.
In addition, EMS calls were up by about 300 and 554 crashes were investigated in the county.
The Sheriff also noted overall transport miles were up last year over the previous year.
