Daviess County officials will soon be meeting in a joint session once per quarter.
The Daviess County Council gave final approval to the joint session on Wednesday.
The meeting will be held on the second Tuesday of each quarter in the Daviess County Government Center.
The Commissioners will hold their meeting followed by the Council meeting.
A joint session will then be held between both governing bodies.
This will eliminate the Council’s regular Wednesday meeting during that month.
Daviess County officials say the goal of the joint session will be to create more transparency over topics being discussed as well give both bodies the opportunity to communicate in a public setting.
