The Great Washington Smoke Off is set for April 8th & 9th at Eastside Park in Washington. There will plaques and cash payouts totaling $1,700 awarded for best ribs, pulled pork, chicken, and people’s choice. Cook time runs from 11:00 pm – 11:00 am with food sampling to run from 11:00 am – 12:30 pm. Awards and presentations will follow at 1:00 pm. Contest rules and entry forms can found at the Park Office or online at washingtonin.us. Cooks are limited to the first 15 entries and a $50 donation fee to the Park’s Department will apply. The cost is $5 for those would like to sample smoked creations. It’s all happening at Eastside on April 8th and 9th.
