The Daviess County Health Department released the latest local COVID numbers on Friday.
According to the department, 53 new cases of the virus have been confirmed since last Friday, February 11th.
That’s down by nearly 30 cases since last week.
Of the new cases, 37 individuals were unvaccinated and the other 16 being fully vaccinated.
The department also reported two additional COVID deaths bring that total to 142.
About half of the state remains in Red Status with the other half consisting of a mix between Orange and Yellow.
The positivity rate in Daviess County has now dropped to 16.4%.
Daviess and the surrounding counties are still in Red Status.
