Work Continues on I-69

As the countdown to spring continues, INDOT crews have been working to keep moving toward the I-69 Finish Line.
While winter weather has slowed some construction, demolition, and bridgework, small concrete pours have continued as weather allows.
Contractors build their construction schedules around winter weather and the I-69 Finish Line remains on track to open to traffic at the end of 2024.
Seventeen miles of new highway opened to traffic in Morgan County at the end of 2021, but work is not complete.
Temperature-sensitive work will resume in the area this spring including the final layer of asphalt pavement, permanent striping, and the painting of noise barriers and retaining walls.
