Johnson made all seven field goal attempts, including three 3-pointers, and dished out six assists for the Hoosiers. Race Thompson added 19 points and nine rebounds for IU, which badly needed a victory. The Hoosiers held the Terrapins scoreless for over six minutes in the first half, but led by just three at halftime. IU shot 60 percent from the field, including a stretch of 13 straight made field goals in the second half, which helped the Hoosiers pull away. The win was Indiana’s first since beating Maryland on the road January 29th. Fatts Russell led the Terrapins with 23, and Maryland dropped to 13-15. The Hoosiers are 17-10, and play at Minnesota Sunday evening.
