There are a couple local scholarship opportunities available for area high school students.
The Washington Beta Zeta chapter of Tri Kappa will award two area students with scholarships at their High School Senior Awards Night. The local scholarships are awarded each year to seniors based on academics, leadership, and financial need. The recipients cannot be related to a member of Tri Kappa Sorority. Tri Kappa is currently accepting scholarships at area high schools. All completed applications are to be mailed to Lauren Milton at 12 Cottonwood Court in Washington and must be postmarked by April 16, 2022. No late applications will be accepted. The Daviess County Republican Women is also offering a scholarship opportunity. The Bonnie Evans Memorial Scholarship Application is honor of Bonnie Evans who spent much of her adult life in California and Texas, where her political activities and leadership began. Her career carried through to her final retirement back in Daviess County, Indiana, where she worked tirelessly for the Daviess County Republican Women’s Group. This is a $500.00 scholarship to be awarded to a high school student who is a resident of Daviess County. Applicants must be applying to colleges for attendance this fall.
