A Martin County EMT has been arrested for allegedly beating a patient in an ambulance.
Indiana State Police arrested 29-year-old Matthew Ray Copeland of Shoals, following an investigation into the incident which happened on October 15, 2021, in Martin County.
Police began investigating after receiving information that Copeland had assaulted a patient who was being taken to a hospital in an ambulance.
An arrest warrant was put out for Copeland this week, and he turned himself in on Tuesday.
He is charged with Official Misconduct, Intimidation, and Battery.
