A Jasper man faces charges after allegedly stealing a gas can.
Last night around 6:30 pm, the Jasper Police Department was dispatched to the area of 13th/Newton reference a male subject who had stolen a gas can out of a garage in the area.
Officers with the Jasper Police Department located the subject in the parking lot of St Joseph’s church.
He was then identified as 28-year-old Zackary Gilbert.
It was determined that Gilbert had multiple active warrants through Dubois County.
Gilbert was arrested and charged with theft and possession of paraphernalia.
He was booked into the Dubois County Jail.
