A distinguished panel of guests gathered in the Washington High School Auditorium last night for the Moment Makers Program.
Hatchet graduate Sam Alford was joined by Sportscaster Greg Rakestraw, Dr Sue Willey, former Indianapolis Colt Bill Brooks, former Hatchet Football standout Dr Ben Obaseki, and Chris May with the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame.
The group spoke to the student body yesterday afternoon before hosting a community event last night. They discussed the impact sports has had on them. Dr. Ben Obaseki, who is currently working at IU Health, said it was an honor to be invited back to his high school to speak to the students and the community…
Sportscaster Greg Rakestraw capped off the day speaking to the student body. He closed things out by offering words to the students about following their dreams….
The event was a big success, and the school is planning to make this an annual event each year for the students and the community.
