The Dubois County Sheriff’s Office has released a statement after receiving several complaints referencing paving jobs.
The department says as warmer weather approaches, they’ve received complaints in reference to paving companies telling people they’ll use leftover asphalt from previous jobs to pave a person’s driveway.
Officers say the work is being done, but the pricing has been outrageous.
Deputies advise area residents to be mindful of this issue.
The Sheriff’s Office suggests that anyone who is considering getting anything paved by these companies to get a written quote.
