VPD Officer Retires After Two Decades of Service

An officer with the Vincennes Police Department has retired after over two decades of service.
Captain Nick Williams officially retired on Wednesday and was close to completing his 22nd year with the department.
Captain Williams was hired in August of 2000 and retires as the Midnight Shift Captain.
During his time at the Vincennes Police Department, he served as a Field Training Officer, SFST Instructor, and a Motorcycle Officer.
The Vincennes Police Department said he made an incredible difference at VPD with his ability to produce quality officers as an FTO which will have a lasting impact at the department.
They say it has been a joy to have Captain Williams at the department, whose calm and well thought out demeanor, made almost any situation that arose, easy to get through.
