Authorities Share Reminder About Removing Political Signs

Election season is here and with it, displays of political signs may be found along roadways in many yards.
The Dubois County Sherriff’s Office is reminding area residents that removing political signs from where they’ve been placed is against the law.
In Indiana, anyone who removes a political sign without permission may be charged with criminal mischief which is a Class B misdemeanor.
Candidates are also reminded that signs may not be placed within city and state right of ways.
Unauthorized signs in those areas will be removed.
