Former Evansville Parks Director Brian Holtz is facing 12 charges for fraud, official misconduct, counterfeiting, and forgery.
The charges were filed Monday.
A months long investigation found dozens of incidents dating back to 2017 that involve Holtz submitting counterfeited invoices, involving more than $13 million.
Court documents show Evansville’s financial loss to be $364,400.74.
Evansville Mayor Lloyd Winnecke said there were questionable invoices in the department leading to the start of the investigation.
Holtz resigned from his position last July.
