An interim deal has been agreed to in Knox County for EMS services.
Starting on July 1st, the county will enter into an agreement with Good Samaritan Hospital who will provide ambulance service for the whole county.
The deal will last a year which commissioners say gives them more time to draw up a long-term deal with the hospital.
Knox County was in search of a new countywide EMS provider since Knox County EMS chose not to renew with the county.
County leaders now say the overall hold up in a long-term deal is staffing shortages.
