A group of Hoosiers have formed a coalition against a planned highway project in southern Indiana.
The Mid-States Corridor would run parallel to US 231 north and south allowing drivers to bypass Jasper, Huntingburg, and Loogootee.
It would start along I-64 and travel north to I-69 near the Crane Naval Base.
Many residents along the planned highway route are against it for various reasons, from not wanting to lose land, to privacy issues, and even issues with how the state is paying for the project.
