The Washington baseball team fell on the road at Princeton last night in a tough one 6-5. The Hatchets drop to 6-11 with a home game against North Posey tomorrow. Washington Softball travels to Tecumseh tonight.

Barr Reeve softball fell to Bedford 4-0 yesterday. The Lady Vikings take on Linton at home today. Viking baseball also suffered a tough loss at the hands of South Knox 7-1. The 12-5 Spartans now take sole possession of the top spot in the Blue Chip Conference and deal the Top rank Vikings only their third loss of the season. Barr Reeve takes on Linton today with live coverage at 5:00 pm on the General 95.9 / 101.3fm.
North Daviess baseball over North Knox 13-8. The Cougars travel to Evansville Christian today. North Daviess Softball plays at Clay City today.
Loogootee baseball cruised to a big win over Eastern Greene 13-2. The Lions are at home with Bloomfield today. The Lions Softball team shut out Mitchell 4-0 yesterday.
Vincennes Lincoln baseball falls to Evansville North 14-4.
The Vincennes Lincoln Alices have a new varsity boys basketball coach. The school announced yesterday Dave Mahurin will take over the program next season. The veteran coach of 30 years comes to Vincennes with 348 wins, six sectional championships, and a Class A State Finals appearance with Rockville in 2012. Welcome Coach Dave Mahurin to the Vincennes Alices program.
The Washington girls tennis team continues to dominate with another shut out win over Southridge 4-1 yesterday. The Hatchets play at Barr Reeve today at 4:30 pm.
Loogootee girls tennis defeated Rivet 5-0.
 
The Cincinnati Reds are now 3-20 on the young season after losing to the Milwaukee Brewers 6-3. Willy Adames crushed a three-run home run in the third for the Brewers, which improved to 16-8. The Reds got back-to-back homers from Tommy Pham and Mike Moustakas in the top of the fourth, but Milwaukee kept Cincy at bay with a pair of runs in the bottom of the frame to re-extend the lead. Brandon Woodruff struck out 12 in five and two-thirds innings to pick up the win. The Kansas City Royals scored five runs in the seventh inning, and beat the St. Louis Cardinals 7-1. Royals rookie sensation Bobby Witt Jr. went 2-for-3 with his first Major League homer and two RBI. Two games were postponed due to rain. The Pirates and Tigers were rained out in Detroit, as were the Padres and Guardians in Cleveland. Both sets of teams will play a doubleheader Wednesday starting at 1:10 p.m. Eastern.
The Indianapolis Colts signed German cornerback Marcel Dabo as part of the NFL’s International Player Pathway Program. Each of the four AFC South teams added a player from Europe. Dabo played for the Stuttgart Surge last year in the European League of Football, and had 28 tackles and one interception. The 22-year-old was a 2021 ELF All-Star, and was named the league’s defensive rookie of the year. He ran a 4.52 second 40-yard dash at the NFL’s International Combine last year, and has a 40.5-inch vertical leap. Dabo will be on the Colts’ roster through training camp, and will be eligible for an international player practice squad exemption.
