Jasper Man Arrested After Leaving Multiple Accidents

A man was arrested in Jasper last night after allegedly leaving the scene of two accidents.
The Jasper Police Department was dispatched to Giesler Road last night where the driver was attempting to leave.
Shortly after, the Jasper Police Department was dispatched to a second accident near Jackson and Fourth Street.
It was later determined that the incidents involved the same driver, who was identified as 39-year-old Anthony Lansford of Jasper.
Police say Lansford struck a mailbox on Giesler Road and a parked vehicle on Jackson and Fourth Street.
Upon officers’ arrival, Lansford showed signs of intoxication and tested .189 on a portable breath test. He refused a chemical test.
Lansford was charged with Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated with Refusal and with Leaving the Scene of an Accident.
He was booked into the Dubois County Jail.
