Work has begun on a new jail and sheriff’s office in Sullivan County.
The Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office says they held a groundbreaking for the future Sullivan County Jail, Dispatch and Sheriff’s Office on Tuesday.
Staff and community leaders were on hand for the dedication.
The facility is being built near Section Street and CR 300 North.
Completion of the project is expected in approximately 18 months.
