Washington is getting a new STEM lab sponsored by Toyota, Vincennes University, and Purdue University.
In-coming Superintendent Kevin Frank says the entities approached the school system with a grant offer…
Frank says the new STEM lab will be housed in the junior high school, however, with the proximity provided by the grade level school configuration, all students will all be able to use the new STEM lab and its equipment.
In personnel matters, the Board received resignations from Jensen Ballenger and Sydney Stoll. Dr. Roach said that Stoll is leaving the classroom but will still be with the school system.
The Board also approved hiring Kristen LaFollette as an elementary teacher, Alejandra Soledad Davila as a HS Spanish/Jr. E.L.L. Teacher, Chris Ashworth as Assistant Band Director for 5th & 6th grade, and Albany Walden as an elementary aide. Bev Lemon was approved for summer library hours.
