A Daviess County teen has died following a weekend crash.
On Sunday night, just before 7:30 pm, emergency crews were dispatched to a single vehicle accident at 300 West & US Highway 50 in Washington.
According to the Daviess County Sheriff’s Office, a 17-year-old male was westbound on Highway 50 when, for unknown reasons, he crossed the center line and went into the eastbound lane.
He then went off the road into the woods, where he struck several trees and was ejected from the vehicle.
He was the only one in the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The victim has been identified as 17-year-old Eli Newberry.
