On Sunday evening starting around 8 pm several rounds of heavy storms ripped through the area causing power outages, property damage and heavy flooding.
Some areas in Central Knox County reported to having over 7 inches of rain between 8 pm and 3 am.
Daviess County Sheriff’s Department and Washington Police Department took several calls overnight with vehicles stuck in and stalled in high waters.
Power outages were numerous but as of this morning electricity was back on with the exception of just a handful of homes.
It is advised to use caution this morning when traveling, keeping an eye out for debris, high water and crews tasked with cleaning up debris.
Eaststide Park in Washington will be closed today, 7/25/2022, due to high water as well as power lines and trees blocking roadways and sidewalks.
