The battle of which golf league to play in continues. The PGA Tour filed a motion against a lawsuit from LIV golfers, who sued the PGA Tour to play in the FedEx Cup Playoffs, which start Thursday. Three LIV golfers qualified for the PGA Tour’s post-season, but the organization doesn’t want to let them play in it because they say the golfers breached their PGA Tour contracts.
As if the Brooklyn Nets needed more drama. The NBA team’s superstar Kevin Durant reportedly told Nets owner Joe Tsia (SIGH): it’s me or the coach and general manager. Kevin met with Joe over the weekend and repeated his desire to be traded. The Nets’ franchise player told Joe that he doesn’t like the direction the team is going. Former Nets coach Avery Johnson was on CBS Sports and says there’s a strong chance Kevin will not wear a Brooklyn jersey next season.
