Brenda A. Richardson, 81, passed away at 4:40 am on August 18, 2022 at her residence. Brenda was born on January 11, 1941 in Vincennes and she was the daughter of Paul and Wilma (Mallott) Wilkes.
Brenda was a member of the Moose, VFW, and the French Club. She enjoyed sitting outside in the sun reading, making tie blankets, crocheting and cooking. Brenda had the biggest heart and was a foster mom to many. Most importantly though, Brenda enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her daughters, Debbie Burke and her husband J.D. of Vincennes, Cynthia Fisher of Taylorsville, KY, Shawnna Catt of Bicknell; son, Brian Richardson of Westphalia; her step children, Vanessa Lanning, Gina Kolehouse, Mark Richardson; her siblings, Regina Johnson of Bruceville, Cheryl Brand of Vincennes, Bart Brand and his wife Mary of Florida, Brent Brand of Vincennes, Donna Sue Storey of Lawrenceville; her grandchildren, Brenda Sims, Crystal Mallett (Ryan), Heather Downs, Brooks DeBoer, Kodie Catt, Heather Smith (Mike), Isaac Rice; and thirteen great grandchildren. Brenda is preceded in death by her parents, Paul Wilkes and Wilma Brand, brother, Bill Wilkes, grandson, Chris Catt, niece, Amber Brook Brand-Dame, and her nephew Brent Lewis Brand, Jr.
Friends may visit with Brenda’s family from 2-5 pm on Sunday, August 21, 2022 at Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home, 524 Broadway, Vincennes. A funeral service will follow the visitation at 5:00 pm at Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home with Pastor Richard Spalding officiating.
