Emerald Place will be hosting their 5th annual Dog Easter ‘Begg’ Hunt. The event will be held on Saturday, April 9th. Check-in will begin at 10AM in the front parking lot of Emerald Place. The dog Easter egg hunt will begin at 10:30AM on the surrounding 3 acre lot. You can purchase your $5.00 tickets in advance from our staff or by calling Emerald Place directly at 812-254-5230. You will also be able to buy tickets at the event check-in. All ticket sales and proceeds will go to Daviess County Friends for Animals. We ask that those attending ask their friends for monetary donations, dry dog/cat food, blankets and toys for Friends for Animals. The Easter bunny will be in attendance for photo opportunities with your dog(s). Inside each egg will have assorted flavored dog treats. There will be one golden ticket hidden inside one egg. The winner will receive a basket full of goodies for your pup.
Rules: $5.00 per dog entering the hunt. Feel free to donate more! All dogs must be on a leash for the entire event. This is a kid friendly event, but all kids will need to stay close to an adult and close to their dog(s). You will be required to sign a liability waiver and a media consent form before participating. Local newspaper/news media may be covering event. This will be an outside event, but we will require social distancing and masks. We will have ‘doggie’ bags available at check-in to collect your eggs/treats, but feel free to bring your own Easter baskets. Depending on attendance, you will be given a max number of eggs to find. At the end of the event, the one that finds the golden ticket inside their egg will win the basket of dog goodies and will be asked to take a winning photo with the Easter bunny. This event is to raise funds for Daviess County Friends for Animals and to raise awareness that Emerald Place is a dog friendly community.
